Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 gets a Counter-Strike-inspired Collateral mode

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is adding a new series mode called Collateral, whose rules hew closer to the Bomb Defusal mode in Counter-Strike and Valorant. It uses an in-game cash economy with pre-made loadouts disabled, weapons and equipment lost on death while earned cash is kept, and no automatic health regeneration, respawning or Killstreaks except a team-bought UAV. The mode was revealed near the end of a blog post about the PC version's technology and features, with no indication it is PC-exclusive, and Modern Warfare 4 is set for release on 23rd October on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2.
