Unannounced PS5 Slim Revision Teardown Reveals Redesigned Motherboard and Cooling

A teardown of Sony's unannounced PS5 Slim revision, featuring the new EDM-051 motherboard, shows a redesigned internal layout and an easily removable CR2032 CMOS battery. It also introduces a lower-cost HDMI retimer and a revised liquid-metal cooling design closer to the PS5 Pro's approach, along with changed heatsink construction and materials. There is currently no indication of a meaningful gaming performance difference versus existing PS5 Slim models.
