FIFAe Finals postponed a day before Jeddah tournament

FIFA and the Saudi Esports Federation postponed the 2026 FIFAe Finals on October 15, one day before the event was due to begin in Jeddah, with no replacement date or venue announced. The joint statement cited an assessment of regional developments and their effect on logistics, without mentioning security. Japan's football association said on October 10 it would not send its team, and Brazil's football confederation later cancelled the eSeleção's participation, citing regional tensions and risks to airspace and airports.
