Ready Player One's New Adaptation Is Truer to the Book Than Spielberg's Movie

The new adaptation of Ernest Cline's 2011 novel Ready Player One is more faithful to the book than Steven Spielberg's film. The story is set in a near future where humans spend most of their time in a virtual world called the OASIS, which began as an MMORPG. Its creator, James Donovan Halliday, bequeathed control of the OASIS to whoever can find a set of keys to pass through various gates.
