TCL China Star's new Gen 8.6 IJP OLED fab is scheduled to begin production in 2028, with plans for larger panels including 32-inch and 34-inch sizes and refresh rates of up to 700 Hz, according to Omdia. IJP, or ink jet printing, should cut material waste compared with conventional OLED production and thus lower panel costs. 700+ Hz OLED monitors already exist, such as an Asus WOLED that hits 720 Hz at 1080p in a 24.5-inch form factor for $1,099.
