Sid Meier's Civilization games: the oral history

Sid Meier recalls in an oral history that he played with blocks, soldiers, and ships as a child and was interested in history, reading about airplanes, ships, and pirates. He later got into board games and strategy games before computers appeared, and his first computer, an Atari 800, made him realize he could make his own games.
