Pokémon HOME FireRed & LeafGreen Compatibility Update Arrives Next Week

Pokémon HOME will undergo maintenance on 7th October 2026, with the Switch and mobile apps updating to Version 4.1.0 to add Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen connectivity. The update lets players transfer Pokémon from FireRed and LeafGreen into HOME and then into other Pokémon games, though they cannot return to those titles, and Pokémon from other games cannot be transferred into FireRed or LeafGreen. This follows the earlier news that Pokémon Bank on the 3DS will shut down in February 2027.
