MIT engineers create a "second skin" that could one day track whole bodies in VR

MIT engineers have created a flexible sheet that, though currently a bulky prototype, could one day be worn like a second skin. It aims to more accurately track the transformation of a surface rather than the movement of fixed points on a traditional motion capture suit, potentially enabling whole-body tracking in VR.
