Save $40 Off Microsoft's Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller

Amazon is offering the official Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller for $109.99 with free shipping for a limited time, down from $150 elsewhere. The Core model is physically identical to the previous-generation $200 Elite Series 2, with adjustable-tension thumbsticks, a rubberized grip, and hair trigger locks, but it omits accessories like paddles, extra thumbsticks, a D-pad, and a travel case, which are sold separately in a $59.99 component pack. IGN's Jacqueline Thomas reported on rumored leaks that an Elite Series 3 release might be on the horizon, and the price drop may be a precursor to it.
