Silent Hill-Like Signal Veil Uses Phones To Parry, Because Even Anime Girls Know Tech Is A Weapon

Upcoming survival-horror game Signal Veil showed a new trailer at Insider Gaming's 28 Games Later Horror Showcase, in which protagonist Aki uses her mother's vintage flip phone to attack enemies. Developer Time Hunters said the phone can also use its camera flash to stun enemies and open them up to a parry, and that the game leans more into psychological horror than classic Resident Evil. The phone shivers and hisses when it detects a monster, while Aki's deteriorating mental state makes her fighting more desperate, aggressive, and messy.
