Star Citizen single-player spinoff Squadron 42 gets a new trailer and Steam wishlists

Cloud Imperium Games released a new cinematic trailer for Squadron 42, the single-player spinoff of Star Citizen, and opened Steam wishlists alongside a full cast reveal. The game has been in development for 12 years under Chris Roberts and features Mark Hamill, Gary Oldman, Gillian Anderson and Henry Cavill, with performance capture woven into gameplay. The trailer showed first-person sections, platforming and puzzles, ship customization, a hacking mini-game and narrative choices; CIG delayed the game to Q2 2027 in August to avoid GTA 6's attention.
