Microsoft announces a new Xbox PC client focused on speed and performance

Microsoft announced a new Xbox PC client, codenamed Garrison, that focuses on speed and performance and is expected to open to Xbox Insider testers in the coming weeks, with a possible full launch this year. Microsoft said loading a personal library of more than 1,400 games is significantly faster, and players can more clearly tell downloadable games apart from those streamed via Xbox Cloud Gaming. The store page and game detail page are merged into a unified interface, and the client supports mouse, keyboard, and controller input.
