Joe Manganiello Reveals Ben Affleck's Canceled Batman Movie Had an Arkham Asylum-Inspired Deathstroke Fight and the DCEU Batgirl

Joe Manganiello revealed in his memoir Bloodlines that Ben Affleck's canceled Batman movie would have pitted Batman against Deathstroke, who believed Batman killed his son and sought revenge by invading the Batcave, taking Alfred hostage, and killing Jim Gordon. The film's climactic one-on-one fight through Gotham's streets would have been inspired by a CGI sequence from Batman: Arkham Asylum, with a new Batgirl joining the fight. The project was ultimately canceled and reworked into 2022's The Batman.
