SonicFox Exits Nexcon 2026 Over AI-Generated Promo Art

Dominique "SonicFox" McLean cancelled their appearance at Nexcon 2026 after the convention used AI to generate the fighting game pro's likeness in promotional material. Ninjutsu Entertainment founder Ty Bailey posted a video admitting to using generative AI for the flyer and apologizing, saying the team couldn't afford real artists. SonicFox accepted the apology but said they still won't attend, suggesting the money from their contract be spent on artists instead.
