Rumor: Beyond Good & Evil 2 still in pre-production at Ubisoft Montpellier with a solo-first shift

A leak claims Beyond Good & Evil 2 remains in pre-production at Ubisoft Montpellier with around 250 people on it, as the project aims to enter the alpha stage. It is said to shift to a single-player focus with a strong story that also supports co-op, still built on the Voyager Engine, after a 2019-2022 multiplayer and connected-world direction.
