Mega Man: Dual Override Developers Dish on Designing for New and Old Players Alike

In an interview with IGN, the Mega Man: Dual Override design team said the game is being made to celebrate the series' upcoming 40th anniversary. To welcome newcomers, it adds a custom chip system with over 50 chips and splits each stage into three areas that grow harder over time. Players pick either Mega Man or Proto Man and stay with that character through the whole playthrough, with the same overarching story but different lines and personality moments.
