Former Halo lead suggests three ways Activision could revive the series, urges hiring laid-off Bungie staff

Former Halo franchise director Frank O'Connor has outlined three paths for Activision's next Halo: a "classic" entry aimed at core fans, a surprising reinvention of the game and universe, or translating the Halo IP and sandbox into Activision's proven Call of Duty-style progression and business models. He also urged the company to hire laid-off talent from Bungie and Halo Studios, and to avoid tying the next Halo to hardware or service launch cycles or aging platforms. Activision has not yet assembled a team for the project, which is likely years away.
