Meta announces new VR glasses that weigh about 100 grams and cost $1,300
Brief
Meta announced the Meta VR Glasses, priced at $1,300 and weighing about 100 grams, set to go on sale in Spring 2027. The device has no strap and needs no controllers, relying on hand tracking and passthrough, with a puck connected by an optical tether handling compute, battery and storage. Games revealed alongside it include Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies VR, Tetris Effect: Mixed Realities and Beat Saber: Flux, all slated for 2027 and also coming to Quest rather than being exclusive to the glasses.
