Factorio 2.1 update arrives as the game's final major version

Wube Software released Factorio 2.1 on the stable branch, the game's last major update. It adds no new planets or tech trees but brings over 30 quality-of-life changes and small features to the base game and Space Age, including mixed-item rocket launches, land mines usable as tripwires and enemy detectors, asteroid damage based on remaining health, and the option to play Space Age without the Quality mechanic. Wube said bug fixes and support-level updates will continue as the team moves on to other game prototypes and experiments.
