Buying an RTX 5090 gaming PC at Micro Center now reportedly requires signing a no-export declaration

Micro Center is reportedly requiring customers buying prebuilt PCs with an RTX 5090 to sign a declaration promising not to export the graphics card, and to show a driver's license for identity verification. A Reddit user says the form took effect only a few days ago at the Tustin, California store when they bought a Powerspec Ai90 prebuilt. High-end GPUs are banned from being exported to China, and buying an RTX 5090 on its own has become harder.
