How to Pass the Brittle King's Test in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse

In Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, the Brittle King is the only truly optional boss, and beating him rewards Excalibur and his Arcana powers. To pass his test, equip the Builder Arcana obtained by defeating Talos in the Clock Tower and use the sword to trigger the fight. During the battle, the Arcane Whip can latch onto points to swing behind his shield, and the Alucard Sword and Shield in the Main Hall negates his defense.
