Stick Run Creator Manuel Otto Dies at 30 After Twitch Livestream Incident

The Stick Run team confirmed the death of creator Manuel Otto, 30, following a Twitch livestream on October 20 during which he appeared to take his own life. German outlets OVB Online and PNP reported that a 30-year-old was the only victim of an apartment fire in Breitbrunn am Chiemsee, Bavaria, on October 20, reported by one of Otto's neighbors. Otto first published the endless runner on Facebook at 14, and the game had reportedly amassed over 43 million players as of 2023; the stream video has been removed from Twitch.
