Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Alucard Painting Puzzle Explained

In Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, the Main Hall is filled with paintings of Alucard, and a statue in the Servant's Hall hints that they carry a hidden meaning. Each painting's sword direction points to a secret passage, such as the Artist's studio entrance, a hidden weapon or relic, the Waterworks entrance, or the path to a complex sidequest. If the sword points down, drop through the floor; if it faces up or sideways, enter a blank painting with the Arcane Whip and launch Rose in that direction to reveal the hidden path.
