Witcher 3 Remastered: How Loot Merge works and should you use it?

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered adds a Loot Merge mechanic that makes the first corpse you loot after a battle include items from nearby corpses. It does not apply to chests, containers, or corpses that were already dead before you arrive. Loot Merge is handy and does not break the game's flow, so it is worth enabling.
