Sony brings QSSR AI upscaling to base PS5

Sony detailed a new upscaling model called Quick Spectral Super Resolution (QSSR) that runs on the base PS5, born from its Project Amethyst collaboration with AMD. It is lighter than the PS5 Pro's PSSR and less capable of preserving detail, but more accurate than the console's traditional temporal upscaling. QSSR debuts in Marvel's Wolverine and Ghost of Yotei via patches going live later today, and Sony says it is available to all developers.
