Two new partner-operated routes widen EWC 2027 qualification pathways

The Esports Foundation has added two partner-operated qualification routes for the Esports World Cup 2027: EWC Direct Qualifiers for existing competitions and Satellite Last Chance Qualifiers for community organisers. The Road to EWC targets 1.8 million players across more than 400 events next year, with the initial Satellite LCQ lineup covering Chess, Counter-Strike 2, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves and Street Fighter 6. Applications close December 20, 2026, and approved events must finish by June 1, 2027.
