Possibly the Oldest Board Game in Recorded History Is Now a Roguelike: Steam's Oh!Ware Uses Marbles to Play Mancala
TIL what may or may not be the oldest board game in recorded history is also, perhaps inevitably, now a roguelike
Brief
Oh!Ware, a deckbuilder that has been on Steam for about a week with 23 reviews so far, is built around mancala, with marbles standing in for cards. Mancala may be the oldest board game in recorded history, though exactly when and where it was invented remains undetermined.
