Brief
SNEG Games re-released 1994 horror game Ecstatica and its sequel on Steam and GOG today. Developed by Andrew Spencer Studios, the game builds characters, objects and much of the environment from ellipsoids with actual volumes, all running on the CPU, rather than the polygons that later dominated 3D graphics. The rebuild adds controller support and three graphics modes switchable on the fly: the original DOS version, the 1997 Windows 95 re-release, and a real-time high resolution render.
