Google researchers published a paper claiming four Gemini 4 Argon AI agents beat Minecraft without human assistance, taking just over 27 hours to defeat the Ender Dragon in what is believed to be a world first. The agents coordinated through in-game chat with no assigned roles or game logic, exchanging 229 messages, running 2,783 programs, and dying 605 times, reaching The End in about 13.5 hours. The team said this is the first end-to-end autonomous Minecraft completion by AI agents using only the standard Mineflayer library.
