Nicolas "Sparth" Bouvier, who worked on Halo and Assassin's Creed, said he served as Mass Effect 5's art director from April until last week, taking over from original trilogy art director Derek Watts. He called the cancellation heartbreaking and praised the team for exploring new creative territory while staying true to the trilogy's spirit.
