Battlefield 6 launched a year ago on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, hitting over 700,000 concurrent players on Steam and becoming 2025's best-selling game. Its first season drew criticism over the Redsec battle royale mode and the small Blackwell Fields map, while Seasons 3 and 4 brought back classic maps like Golumn Railway, Grand Bazaar, and Wake Island plus the large Tsuru Reef. Season 5 launched this month with two new maps set in Las Vegas and Area 51.
