The Walking Trade, a zombie-apocalypse store management game, launches today on Xbox Series X|S, where players stock shelves, set prices, serve survivors, and fight off zombie raids. The solo developer built it without ever playing a shop simulator, drawing on the from-scratch feeling of RollerCoaster Tycoon and The Sims. The survivor Robin, named after the developer's son, was released on PC about 18 months after work began in October 2024.
