   Fan Port Turns Need for Speed: Underground 2 Into a Browser MMO

   A fan project called NFS Underground 2 Revived has brought the 2004 PS2 racer Need for Speed: Underground 2 to web browsers, letting dozens of players race together with no download or install required. Released late last month, the free-to-play port recently went viral, and site data shows thousands of players currently using it. Multiplayer is opt-in, and the creator says AI tools were used in development, as documented on the project's GitHub page.
