   The Witcher 3 Devs Talk Songs of the Past DLC Details

   CD Projekt Red discussed the third Witcher 3 expansion, Songs of the Past, at Lucca Comics & Games, ahead of its 2027 release with a new region, new monsters and new stories. Level design lead Miles Tost said the new region of Lettin adds no new movement mechanic, but its local honey-and-beer drink Bracket shapes its culture, economy and monsters, including the honey-loving Swarmion shown in the demo. Writer Paula Meissner said the team works regularly with CDPR's lore team to stay faithful to canon, while Tost said the studio looks for explainable ways to bring characters back rather than retconning.
