Epic to update EULA to allow AI training on Unreal Engine and MetaHuman outputs

Epic CEO Tim Sweeney said in an X post responding to a Kotaku article that Epic is working to remove EULA restrictions on training AI with outputs from Unreal Engine and MetaHuman, which are currently not permitted. He added that each game built with these tools ships under terms chosen by its developers, which can allow or restrict AI training. Sweeney also criticized Valve's AI disclosure requirement on Steam store pages, and Game Developer said it had not received comment from Epic on the EULA changes.
