Unknown Worlds creative director Anthony Gallegos said in the first of a new vlog series that Subnautica 2 is moving into Early Access 2.0, its most substantial update since the game launched last May. The update adds a complete new playable region with several biomes, more story elements, and new creatures, and Gallegos calls the region one of the scariest the team has made. The Collector Leviathan's behaviour will also be updated to be scarier, alongside new gadgets, new biomods, and dash moving onto the player's fins instead of being a biomod.
