Report: Resident Evil: Requiem Made More From PlayStation Discs Than All Xbox Sales Combined

Analyst Rhys Elliot's report estimates Resident Evil: Requiem sold 1.3 million physical copies, accounting for 15 percent of total revenue and 30.2 percent of PlayStation revenue, with disc revenue on PlayStation 1.8x higher than all Xbox sales combined. Physical sales for 007 First Light, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, and Crimson Desert were each under 30 percent of their relevant totals, while 44 percent of Pragmata's and 44.1 percent of Onimusha: Way of the Sword's sales in Japan were physical. Sony has launched a digital-only, Japan-exclusive PS5 Black for $350, with a separate disc drive sold for $75.
