On the Patreon-only Digital Foundry Direct, Rich said there have been behind-the-scenes discussions that Sony has an "exclusive of sorts" on RDNA5 for handhelds with its upcoming mobile device. As KeplerL2 and other insiders have said, AMD appears unwilling to dedicate resources to chips for niche devices, so companies that can't guarantee a certain number of orders won't get a semi-custom chip. That would leave the PS6 handheld as the only RDNA5 handheld with a dedicated custom chip, while the Xbox handheld, Steam Deck 2 and other PC handhelds would not get it.
