   Phantom Blade Zero Review in Progress: Shaping Up to Be One of the Best Action Games I've Played

   Game Informer's Wesley LeBlanc published a review-in-progress of Phantom Blade Zero after more than 40 hours, saying it could join the top tier of action games but holding off on a score. He describes each weapon as having its own moveset and abilities, with accessories and medicines yielding hundreds or perhaps thousands of combat combinations, and close to 100 bosses with few repeats. He also notes the game is not a Soulslike, that killed enemies stay dead across checkpoints, and that the story is its weakest element.
