Xbox announced two preview features for Xbox Cloud Gaming, both launching later today. One lets players use their phone as a controller on supported Smart TVs via Android and iOS, while cloud connect links the Xbox Nano Controller directly to cloud servers over Wi-Fi to reduce input latency, starting in the U.S.

Microsoft rolled out two Xbox Cloud Gaming previews, letting players use an Android or iOS phone as a controller on supported Smart TVs and, in the US, previewing cloud connect with the Xbox Nano Controller over Wi-Fi. The phone controller requires enabling Preview Features in the TV settings and appears when no physical controller is connected. Cloud connect currently works on supported Smart TVs and the web, with setup through the Xbox beta app on Android or the Xbox Accessories app on PC, and both features remain in testing with limited device and game support.
