- GameSpotDarkStone Digital releases Playable Archive, a free demo of a canceled project, on Steam
DarkStone Digital released Playable Archive as a free demo on Steam, which studio owner Brian Clarke described as unfinished work from a canceled project, published as a form of personal healing. The 30- to 45-minute demo mixes first-person camcorder gameplay with a police investigation in which players replay tapes and solve occult puzzles. Clarke said the full-scale game the demo was built for will never be released, but he felt it was important to honor what was built.

Developer Clarke has released Playable Archive for free, a reworked version of the PAX East demo of the cancelled game once known as Paranormal Activity: Threshold, with all Paranormal Activity references removed. In a video interview with Polygon ahead of the release, Clarke called it a rare preservation win.
