DICE has responded to controversy over multiple cosmetic items in Battlefield 6 Season 5, acknowledging that some fell short of player expectations and that it is reviewing internal workflows to improve quality control. The issues include a misspelled patch on a character and an operator skin carrying five pistols, with a fix for the spelling error planned for the second phase of Season 5. DICE said the five-pistol Midnight Phantom skin was a deliberate nod to action movies, and that a silently imposed XP cap in Season 5 was unintentional and has been withdrawn after players discovered it.
