    EU takes action against Activision, Riot, Ubisoft and seven others over in-game monetization

    The EU announced action against ten companies including Activision Blizzard, Mojang, Ubisoft, Riot Games, Crytek, Supercell, InnoGames, King, Plarium and Playrix, led by the Italian Competition Authority, over platform-specific virtual currencies that rarely match the price players want to pay. The press release also cites virtual currency bundles, dark patterns, inadequate parental controls and a lack of assistance when accounts are blocked. Epic has said that starting this month players can spend exact amounts of V-Bucks on specific purchases, except on PlayStation.

    Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls reveals Year 1 DLC roster, Phoenix Cyclops arrives 2nd November

    Arc System Works revealed the Year 1 DLC roster for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, featuring Phoenix Cyclops, Thor (Jane Foster), Venom and Jubilee. Phoenix Cyclops arrives first on 2nd November with Classic and Legacy costumes the same day, followed by Thor (Jane Foster) in winter 2027, Venom and a Klyntar stage in spring 2027, and Jubilee expected in summer 2027. The characters and stage form the Year One Characters & Stage Pass and can also be bought individually; the game is out now on PS5 and PC.

    Arc System Works confirmed the Year 1 DLC roadmap for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls during Evo France 2026, with Jane Foster Thor arriving in winter 2027 and Venom and Jubilee following in spring and summer 2027. A model preview of Jane Foster in Odin's Vault on Asgard was shown, with a full gameplay trailer to come later. Venom will also bring a stage based on the Symbiote home world Klyntar, all part of the $34.99 Year 1 Character and Stage Pass.
