How Hellraiser: Revival Expands Cenobite Lore While Staying True to Clive Barker

Hellraiser: Revival is developed by Saber Interactive with Clive Barker deeply involved from the very beginning, shaping its visual style, story motifs, lore, and character personalities, while Doug Bradley returns as the original Pinhead. The game's protagonist Aidan draws inspiration from Julia in Barker's The Hellbound Heart and its film adaptation, and it expands the lore through The Scarlet Church, an organized religion built around the Cenobites. Narrative director Antony De Fault said that since players cannot fight the Cenobites directly, a Cenobite-inspired cult was a logical addition.
