Canadian politician calls on government to help BioWare employees buy the studio and run it themselves

Avi Lewis, leader of Canada's New Democratic Party, criticized Electronic Arts over the closure of Edmonton-based BioWare, saying private equity buys up businesses, runs them into the ground, and rips them apart for short-term profit. He called for the studio's developers to be given the first opportunity and federal support to buy BioWare and run it themselves.
