Activision announced that double XP tokens in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will only count down while players are in a match, not in real time, and that existing tokens earned in previous Call of Duty titles or Warzone will also work in the game. Previously, activating a token started the countdown immediately, so time spent building a loadout or waiting for friends was consumed. Modern Warfare 4 launches 23rd October on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2.
