Sony Financials Show No Disc, No Buy and PS5 Blackout Protests Failed to Impact PlayStation

Sony's Q2 fiscal year 2026 financial report shows the No Disc, No Buy campaign and PS5 blackout protests did not affect PlayStation results, with 127 million monthly active users recorded during the quarter. That is eight million more than the same period last year and two million more than Q1 2026. Digital versions accounted for 78% of full game software purchases, up 6% year-on-year, while Sony has not commented on the protests or changed its plan to stop manufacturing physical versions of new titles from January 2028.
