How Final Fantasy Resonance uses Visions to change how the series plays

The author went hands-on with the final build of Final Fantasy Resonance and detailed how its Visions system works. After playing short tales of past series heroes at crystal shrines, players gain 26 equippable companion Visions that grant magic, attacks, and permanent stat boosts, and unlock more abilities as they earn mastery points in battle. Visions also build affinity through use and can be paired with character jobs to shape specialist or all-round parties, and the game launches on PS5 on October 22.
