Report: Xbox Is Paying Far Less Than Normal for Kojima's Physint, Possibly Under $200 Million

Xbox's deal with Hideo Kojima for Physint is "substantially below what Xbox would typically spend to develop a premium game," according to The New York Times. Windows Central's Jez Corden said first-hand sources put the real figure far lower than the rumored $400 million Sony budget, and Chris Dring, who originated that rumor, said Xbox may be paying under $200 million. The deal also covers film and TV adaptations, with Bill Skarsgard starring, and the game has no release date or footage yet.
