Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 review roundup: Metacritic 84, praise for campaign and DMZ

Reviews of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 are largely positive, with a current Metacritic score of 84 described as a return to form. Game Informer gave it 8.5/10, Nintendo Life 9/10 and said the Switch 2 version includes the full package with crossplay and cross-progression, and The Guardian gave it 4/5. Critics praised the roughly six-hour campaign, its open-world section and the new extraction shooter mode DMZ, while noting imprecise stealth and melee and some rushed character arcs.
